Smithsonian/Folkways Special

Lead Belly, Woody Guthrie, Pete Seeger, the New Lost City Ramblers and many other early folk legends recorded for Folkways Records. Fortunately, the entire Folkways archive was obtained by the Smithsonian and they have been reissuing many of these treasures on their own label. On Friday, September 15th, 12 noon to 1:30, I will be presenting a special Movin' On program featuring recordings on the Smithsonian/Folkways label. As a thank you for your contribution, there will be a very limited number of the 2 CD anthology album "Roll Columbia," a collection of Woody Guthrie's Pacific Northwest songs. Tune Friday, September 15th, 12 noon to 1:30. Only on KBOO!
