Last summer, we interviewed Kimberly King Parsons for her novel We Were the Universe, which had just been released by Knopf. Here we are, almost a year later, and Kim and the novel were just honored with the Oregon Book Awards’ Ken Kesey Prize for Fiction. While Jonesy himself is currently on a flight to Italy, seeking political asylum, we thought you’d enjoy hearing that interview. Whether you’ve read the book or not, and if not, what are you waiting for, I think you’ll enjoy getting to know Kim and her work a little better.
