Access to menstruation products continues to be an issue facing women and menstruators across the nation.

For those without sufficient financial resources, a period can mean missed school or work, or even a decision between a meal and having the products to address their period.

The non-profit Period the Menstrual Movement was started in Portland by Nadya Okamoto, and this month, the organization celebrated National Period Day.
