In the Fall of 1990, The Grateful Dead became a 7-piece band agin.
Brent Mydland's untimely death meant significant change was afoot once again in the lineup. Vince Welnick was chosen as the permanent keyboard replacement, but Bruce Hornsby also played piano (and accordian) from September 1990 - March 1992.
Today I'll play excerpts from the entire Madison Square Garden run where Bruce makes his debut as a band member (as opposed to guest) and immediately starts pushing Jerry hard. Jerry loves this and plays along.
