An Oregon Grand Jury has indicted a man on three counts of arson and other charges in connection with a string of four wildfires. This man, named Christopher Wilson at age 37, is suspected to have started the fires on Highway 97 on August 29th. The worst of which has spread across more than 1,200 acres. At the time of the arrest, police say the Salt Lake City, Utah man was driving a stolen 2016 Hyundai Sonata. It's possible, as the state police say that he may be behind more of the fires in the Northwest. They're asking anyone with information about the possible crimes to come forward.

Edith Windsor who successfully sued the state of New York in 2012 for not recognizing her marriage to a woman, died in her Manhattan home on Tuesday at the age of 88. She was the lead plaintiff in a lawsuit challenging the defense of the Marriage Act which led to official recognition for same-sex marriage for the first time in 2013. After her first wife's death in 2009, Windsor was supposed to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars in estate taxess because the state did not officially recognize her marriage to a woman. Windsor had admitted that her original motive in mounting the lawsuit was to recover some of her lost tax dollars.
