Frann Michel discusses the recent success of the Reproductive Health Equity Act, which will ensure that Oregonians, regardless of income, citizenship status, gender identity, or (mostly) type of insurance, have access to the full range of preventive reproductive health services, including family planning, abortion, and postpartum care.  This victory offers important lessons about how to continue making gains for equity and empowerment in the face of the national government's push to the right, and the law offers important ground for building toward single-payer.
