Conversation with local artist at Abbey Creek Winery in North Plains, OR
Sade' Beasley is a light skinned African American woman who has created art her entire life. As an adult, her pieces exclusively show every shade and mood of black women and not coincidentally, of herself. But her portraits aren't the only thing she creates. Besides aiming to create a career in the hard sciences of engineering and computer programming, Sade' brings her palete of color to graduation hats, fraternity paddles and much more. Ms. Beasley talks with Don Merrill at Abbey Creek winery, where, as of this recording, she is having a installation hosted by owner and Vintner Bertony Faustin.
