Water World

I returned from Pakistan with some insight into water policy there. I met with the former mayor of Karachi, one of the largest cities in the world.

With luck I will get him to share with us some of the challenges he met.

What does a struggling city do when the World Bank comes a knocking and wants to be in control of the water system? What happened to a brilliantly designed, gravity fed system when subjected to legal and illegal "tube wells".

What is a water tank mafia?

We will hear from Meeko Williams with an update about the situation in Detroit. Again, what can people do to protect their drinking water supply? What about testing?

I will also be getting you up to speed on the Portland Harbor Superfund site!
