A discussion of weeds with specialist Mitch Bixby; plus worms, and citrus, our plant of the month

February is the month that weeds can really start to grow, not only in your garden beds, but also in your neighbors' yards and in wild areas. To help get a handle on all these weeds and strategies to combat them, host Glen Andresen welcomes Mitch Bixby, Botanic Specialist with the City of Portland Bureau of Environmental Services, on behalf of the The Clackamas, Clark, Multnomah, and Washington County Cooperative Weed Management Area (informally known as the 4-County CWMA). The partnership exists to create and support collaborative weed management among land managers and owners in and around the greater metropolitan area of Portland Oregon.

Jim Gilbert will also be on hand to talk about citrus, February's Plant of the Month. You don't need to live in Florida or California to grow critrus!

Plus, a discussion of worms in the garden. They're ubiquitous, but are they beneficial?

As usual, there will be a new Garden Stumper quiz; what's going on in the honey bee hive this month; and answers to your garden questions.
