A salute to organized labor with President Graham Trainor, Oregon AFL-CIO. Topics of discussion to include a tribute to the late President Richard Trumka and the election of Liz Shuler and Fred Redmond.

Join hosts Tina Turner-Morfitt, Dr. Audrey Terrell  and Deborah Hall for the Coalition of Black Trade Unionists segment of Labor Radio. Our guest will be Brother Grant Trainor, President of the Oregon AFL-CIO. This show marks our annual check in with organized labor and celebrates our 9th annual show. We cover a host of issues to include, recent changes in the national AFL-CIO, a tribute to the late President Trumka and the election of Liz Shuler as the new president of the national AFL-CIO. President Shuler is the former Secretary-Treasurer of the national AFL-CIO and a former IBEW Local 48 lobbyist. We will also discuss the election of Fred Redmond, an International Vice President of the United Steel Workers and a Region 6 CBTU Representative, as the new Secretary Treasurer of the national AFL-CIO. Join us for a conversation on the future of labor and the evolving landscape to include redistricting, the PRO Act and national voting rights legislation.
