News from the BOO is making a comeback and a format change! Beginning Wed, Aug 28, Mic Crenshaw's "News from the BOO" has been renamed to "Culture in Motion with Mic Crenshaw" and can be heard every other Wednesday from 5:30-6p. Alternating with "Culture in Motion with Mic Crenshaw" will be "News from the BOO," which is going back to its original format of bringing you news from inside KBOO. News from the BOO originated with Mic Crenshaw and Monica Beamer (former co-station managers) as a way to engage with our KBOO community and we're proud to be continuing that level of public engagement.
For our next News from the BOO, we'll be featuring a conversation between our interim Station Manager, Rachel Pfeffer, and former KBOO Board Member, Eugene C Bradley about what to think about when voting in KBOO's next Board of Directors election. Eugene will be sharing about his experience of being on the KBOO Board of Directors and what it takes to make a thriving, successful board for our community. We'll also be giving station updates and reminders about all things BOO.
