7th Annual Portland VegFest Projected to be Largest Yet

Portland, OR, July 26, 2011: Oregon’s premier vegetarian event is scheduled to kickoff its 7th annual celebration of food, fun and community September 17th in the Oregon Convention Center.

This 2‐day event will feature presentations from prominent speakers in the fields of medicine, nutrition, animal welfare and the environment and will include cooking demonstrations, hundreds of food samples, movie screenings, classes, family activities and more.

Our keynote speaker for the event will be Dr. Neal Barnard, founder and president of the Physicians Committee for responsible Medicine (PCRM) and president of The Cancer Project, a nonprofit organization advancing cancer prevention and survival through nutrition education and research.
