KBOO is open to the public! To visit the station, contact your staff person or call 503-231-8032.

June and July have to be the busiest months ever! Recently had the Annual KBOO Book & Record Sale; two, count 'em, two live broadcasts, one from the new kid on the music festival block - No.Fest and the jinormous Waterfront Bluesfest; and a whole host of other co-sponsored June events like the Taste of Portland Dance, Jeremy Scahill talk, Sprockettes Bicycle Bash, Portland Mural Show Closing Party and Good in the Neighborhood. This upcoming weekend we've got four, count 'em, four co-sponsored events that all sound pretty darn amazing. There's the always lively Mississippi Avenue Street Fair. There's the exciting new East county event, A Multicultural Affair. There's the Troutdale Bite & Bluegrass Festival (I think there's a Bluegrass music festival every weekend until the end of time...). And finally, there's a very cool benefit for the Portland Grassroots Media Camp called Tell It Like It Is. Let me know if you're able to make it to all these in one day! As always details are available on the Outreach & Events page.
If you know of folks who DO NOT currently listen to KBOO, we are collecting surveys from non-listeners to see what's up. Contact me at 503-231-8032 x206 for more information.
Other things to look forward to later this summer...Columbia Gorge Bluegrass Festival, PDX Pop Now!, Grassroots Radio Conference, Pickathon and much much more!
