Climate Plans; Generosity; Mad men with guns?

Old Mole Variety Hour

Frann Michel hosts this episode, which includes these pieces:

Bill Resnick interviews Mike Houck and Kaitlin Lovell about Portland's latest Climate Action Plan. Mike Houck has been a member of the Planning and Sustainability Commission, and is director of the Urban Greenspaces Institute. Kaitlin Lovell is Manager of the Science, Fish and Wildlife Division for the City of Portland's Bureau of Environmental Services. This is the first of a two-part conversation.

Clayton Morgareidge comments on replacing the economy of parsimony with an economy of generosity.

The Left and the Law: Jan Haaken and Mike Snedeker discuss criminal justice system responses to notorious national cases of mass shootings. They will take up the Charleston case of nine people murdered at an Emmanuel African Methodist Church this past July and the mass shooting that left three dead at the Planned Parenthood clinic in Colorado Springs in November. They'll consider some of the dilemmas for the left in how the insanity pleas and mental competency questions enter into the adjudication of these cases.
