Last week the Portland City Council approved the Portland Development Commission's Education Urban Renewal Plan "focused on expanding Portland State University as a leading engine of economic growth, prosperity and opportunity." The new urban renewal area will generate up to $169 million for investment in research facilities, "business accelerators," affordable housing and private development.

Trial Begins For Fullerton Police Brutality Case

A Superior Court Judge ruled today that two Fullerton police officers will stand trial for the beating death of a mentally ill homeless man. Officers Ramos and Ciccinelli are some of the first Orange County police to face brutality charges. KBOO's Zeke Harrington has more.

It was founded by children of Vietnam Veterans to serve as a voice for the children of Vietnam Veterans including second and third generation victims of Agent Orange and Dioxin Exposures worldwide. The members of the group believe in empowering each other to hold the companies and governments responsible for causing devastation and suffering to our generations.
