David Friesen and Glen Moore - Jazz In The Afternoon WED 6/20 2-4 p.m.
We are privileged to have two of the world's finest
and most revered bassists, David Friesen and Glen Moore,
living right here in southeast Portland.
We will be honored to celebrate both of their careers -
each spanning 50 years (!) - here on air Wednesday, June 20,
from 2:30 until 3:30, the day before their PDX Jazz concert together,
"Bass On Top", at NW Portland's Mission Theatre.
We'll open the show at 2 with a memorial tribute to Portland musician
and jazz supporter Tom Curran, and close it with a look
at the summer jazz happenings coming up in town.
Bob Riddle will host; we hope you'll tune in and enjoy.
