Reporta and Analysis from Gaza

This Friday at 9 am, we'll get an update and analysis on the situation in Gaza with reports from Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and West Bank.  Professor Mazin Qumsiyeh will be featured, along with independent journalist Mohammed Omer in Gaza.

We'll also hear from local activists in Portland who are organizing rallies and calling for an end to the ongoing siege on Gaza, which continues even as the ceasefire goes into effect.

Comments

Hello,  I was listening to "political perspective" this morning on the Gaza/Israeli conflict.  Any loss of human life, Palestnian or Israeli is a tragedy.  I'm sure you or the person reporting for you is seeking the information that you see as most fit to cover this story. WIth that said, I find it interesting that in asking Professor Mazin what led up to the Israeli engagement in Gaza that he did not mention the 1200 rockets that Hamas has fired unprovoked this year into Southern Israel.  These rockets are fired FROM civilian territories in Gaza INTO civilian territories in Israel.  How does he expect Israel to react to that I wonder? Another important question is, are the Palestinians acting alone? What is Iran's administration under Ahmadinejads involvement, a vowed holocaust denier who has said himself he would sacrifice half of the Iranian population to destroy the Jewish state? Could Iran be involved in a proxy war through Gaza possibly? http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-4308320,00.html Iran has supported Gaza militarily for years.  Could this be used to buy time for Iran to continue its nuclear program and a distraction to the atrocities in Syria for Asad and his regime?  Palestinians are victims, but they're victims of a terrorist sympathetic regime in Palestine and the totalitarian governemnts that support it. You may want to ask more questions to present as investigative journalism. "Hamas terrorizes the people of Gaza regularly, and no one cares. Israel returns fire on Hamas terrorists hiding behind those same civilians, and suddenly the world is enraged. Folks, anti-Semitism has taken many guises in these days, and this is one of them." see link.  http://www.israeltoday.co.il/NewsItem/tabid/178/nid/23509/Default.aspx?r... Are the photos of people killed in Gaza really vicitms of Israeli actions? http://www.israelandstuff.com/cnn-falls-victim-to-pallywood-with-eyes-wi...  - shalom.
