The Community Music Center's popular FREE family Friday Concert Series continues with Oregon Renaissance Band tomorrow! Something for parents and kids to attend together! The event will be held Friday, February 11 at 7:15 pm, ending by 8:30 pm, at the Community Music Center, located at 3350 SE Francis Street in Portland. The Oregon Renaissance Band is a 10 to 14 member ensemble of accomplished musicians dedicated to performing and recording music of the Renaissance on faithful reproductions of historical instruments, many of which were built by the performers. Each instrument is introduced and played, demonstrating the smallest, largest, highest, lowest, and most curious sounds to spring from the Renaissance. More information at communitymusiccenter.org

“Taste of the Nation Portland” is in search of volunteers to fill several roles in the marketing and sponsorship committees. Taste of the Nation is an annual culinary fundraising event that is dedicated to ending childhood hunger. The 24th annual Taste of the Nation Portland event will be held May 2, 2011. The event needs volunteers with proven experience in Social Media, Print Coordination, general marketing, creating sponsorships.
