Jonesy has a cold today and it appears to be contagious. So we’re re-broadcasting a favorite episode from last year. It’s an interview with Kesha Ajose-Fisher, author of the story collection No God Like the Mother from Portland’s Forest Avenue Press. Kesha was my first interview in the KBOO studios since the start of the Covid pandemic, a very welcome change after Zooming with guests for three years. Kesha radiates energy, wisdom, and compassion, and it was a joyful experience just being in the same room with her.
