Pepe Moscoso. host of FA Radio, has a Day of Dead Art Exhibition: Death has Permission
I'm very excited to let you know about the Day of Dead Art Exhibition: 'Death has Permission: José Guadalupe Posada' & Dia de los Muertos Altars.
The cultural entities 'Fusionarte' and 'Milagro', with the support from the Consulate of Mexico in Portland, has the pleasure to simultaneously present the display of the 'Death has Permission: Prints of the José Guadalupe Posada' on the premises of the Milagro and at the Portland Building, both located in this city.
The images of Posada, such as 'La Catrina' and other skeletons, have been registered in the national popular imagination and are famous worldwide; his work has helped foster this cheerful Mexican side that is able to laugh until their own death. In the context of the celebrations of the Day of the Dead, this exhibition celebrates the 101th death anniversary of the famous artist, precisely with a segment of his work related to the mortuary theme.
Pepe Moscoso, of Tuesday afternoon's FA Radio program, brings his Día de los Muertos installations to the Portland Building and the Miracle Theatre Group. This year the altars commemorates to William Shakespeare, Portland leaders, Jose Guadalupe Posada, Latino american Writers & The Holy innocents.
These exhibitions are free and open to the public.

La Muerte Tiene Permiso: José Guadalupe Posada y Exhibición de Altares de día de Muertos

A 101 años de su muerte, José Guadalupe Posada aún está entre los vivos a través de su legado artístico en torno a la identidad de los mexicanos.
Las entidades culturales ‘Fusionarte’ y ‘Milagro’, con el apoyo del Consulado de México en Portland, tendrán el agrado de presentar simultáneamente la exhibición ‘La Muerte tiene Permiso: José Guadalupe Posada’ en las instalaciones del Teatro Milagro y del edificio Portland Building, ambos localizados en esta ciudad.
Las imágenes de Posada, como la ‘La Catrina’ y otras calacas, han quedado inscritas en el imaginario popular nacional y son famosas a escala mundial; su obra ha contribuido a fomentar esa faceta alegre del mexicano que es capaz de reírse hasta de su propia muerte. En el contexto de las celebraciones del ‘Día de Muertos’, esta exhibición celebra el 101 aniversario luctuoso del célebre artista, precisamente con un segmento de su obra relacionada con el tema mortuorio.
