Discussion with organizers of 2014 Resistance Ecology Conference, at Portland State University

Host Stephanie Potter speaks with Justin Kay and Tim Hitchins, organizers of the 2nd Annual Resistance Ecology Conference (2014) taking place this coming weekend, June 27-29, at Portland State University. This conference is free and open to the public. Last year's conference (2013) was a huge success, drawing hundreds of attendees for dozens of workshops. The working theme this year is "Moving from theory to action: Organizing a mass movement for humans, nonhumans and their ecologies."  This conference will continue with the themes of animal liberation and radical ecology, and also focus on pragmatic skills and ideas for animal activists looking to get involved in an intersectional movement.
