Grateful to my guest

My show Disability Awareness has stated to take on new life. I have the privilege to interview guest that are coming from different disabilities, both invisible and apparent. Lately I have been able to speak to researchers with important ground breaking books that are important to the community. This month (June)  I will be interviewing Linda M. Blum who wrote Raising Generation RX: Mothering Kids with Invisible Disabilities in an Age of Inequality. Next month my guest will be Sherry M. Joiner who wrote 'Sherry Goes Sane: Living a Life with Schizo-Affective Disorder'. I want to give a special shout out to Laura Sandow who picks me up and gets me to the KBOO studio on time. Laura is an ongoing guest addressing PTSD brought on by her military service.

KBOO Working to Create new Mission and Vision Statements!

KBOO Strategic Planning Support Work Group, board and staff are leading a process to create a new mission and vision statement for KBOO.  KBOO does not have an official mission statement - we have our Programming Charter, but not a mission statement! (See the section below on ‘What about our Programming Charter?’)

KBOO Members have given input to these important statements through a member survey that was open for 3 weeks in April and May and a member retreat that took place last Saturday, May 30th.
